This has all been said in other thread, but let me take a swing here. Even the most basic belt grinder is going to cost $400-600 USD. You don't often find them used, and when you do, they've been through the wars. The upper end of belt grinders is in the $3-5 K range. And as people have said, belts are going to add up.
